I'm hopefully getting a corn snake next week. Do I need to make sure my yemen can't see it or won't it be an issue?
For all i know the shock of seeing a snake could kill it, so I need to ask advice.
Next they presented the chameleons with a model snake and a stuffed bird to see how well the chameleons could blend into their background when faced with a predator.
Of course not, but I bet they're are scared shit-less. You'd be scared too if there was a Grizzly bear a couple of feet from your head. Prolonged, un-needed stress can effect a cham's health and eventually could possibly lead to one's demise. Why take the risk?still none dropping dead
Perhaps upclose or in/on the chams enclosure might cause it to go into defense mode (dropping to the floor and playing dead) but unlikely to scare it to death, more unlikely that you would do this since you show some intelligence. (the corn is a predator afterall)
Again, in the same room, given its not right next to the cham, naturally, i think shouldnt bother it, but since its your cham, youll simply have to test the waters, so to speak.
o gosh, yes..
My veiled even got stressed from seeing a spiral lamp decoration.
I don't see how you can correlate taking risks yourself for personal gain to putting your cham at risk for your gain especially since you know what the most likely outcome is. I'm sure your cham already takes all of the risks he wants to which probably isn't many
