yemens tail wont curl fully

Hi,
My yemens tail used to curl all the way up when he was a baby, but now only the tip of his tail curls up. Its my first yemen and hes now just over 1yr. Is this an health issue?

Its pale in colour to his body and looks thiner than what i have seen in pics of other yemens his age. Its still responds, he will curl the tip but not all of it. From his body to the base of his tail he has natural ridges, then from his tail base to the tip of his tail theres no ridging at all. Hes eating well and drinks fine, loves wax worms and crickets but gone off locusts. Im using the calcium d3 and multi vit powder.
