So it's muscles in the eye turret?

I was hand watering my 6 mo sambava male and he got some water in his eye. He shut his eye tightly and then seemed to lick it from inside the eyelid repeatedly. It was really bizarre looking, like a little alien was under his eyelid. Anybody seen this before? Can they stick their tongues...

Lemmy the Sambava My Sambava is 3 1/2 months, so I wouldn't call him stunning yet. But he sure is cute. Here's a pic that shows his nice coloration on the face and his distinctive 'U' bar. I hope we get some posts here, I'd love to see what to expect when my guy gets older.

One solution is to freeze them if you have a chest freezer or something big enough to fit the enclosure in. Even small beetles and their eggs can take ~6 hours to kill this way, but it will stop new emergences. The adults already roaming in your apartment shouldn't survive too long once you do...
