    It's a better product, everyond would probably agree. But one factor might be you have decent tap water. Mine is very hard, mineral deposits are a everlasting issues here for me.

    Hard water is going to be rough on any misting system you purchase. Distilled all the way.

    I've had a monsoon for close to 2 yrs with no issues. But I only bought caught amazon had a killer sale on it. Already planning on a mistking in the future just the customisable aspect of it is a huge benefit in my opinion.

    Yes, though I doubt I'll keep this enclosure for more than a few years anyway. I have a plan to recycle the acrylic from this into a large enclosure that measures 6'x3'x6'. Just waiting to move into a permanent residence first.

    It can run up to four 2' T5 HO lights (24w max i believe). I like the 6500 that is sold with it. Produces a real crisp blue/white light. Even with my cage being 6', I've never had too many issues with plants growing on the bottom. As long as they aren't completely blocked from the foliage...

    A quick google search for safe chameleon plants will bring you to multiple sites/lists. Just filter through them and figure out which plants you'd like around your house.

    Thanks for the input. I already picked up some wood for it today. I didn't really want to go cutting any more of the acrylic. It was expensive enough the first time. Lol
