Thats because he needs time to adjust to his surroundings.
Try and keep the interactions (watching closely and opening his cage...etc...) to a minimum.
Once he gets used to everything then he should calm down
It does stress them out but some can tolerate it better then others, depends on the cham.
Mine will hiss at me inside the cage but when he's out he seems fine and un-stressed
Since I do not a have a plant eating cham, I wouldn't know for sure but if she eats everyday then that would most likely be a problem
Hopefully some more experienced members on this topic will chime in.
Same thing happened to my dog this summer, though the kid missed thankfully plus I saw them do it and ran out of my house and made him bite the curb after breaking his gun. (it was nice though, shoulda kept it)

Yeah, but then again if it puts ficus as toxic as well as pothos and basically every other plant out there :rolleyes: And thats for cats and dogs. I don't really trust that website... for reptiles that is.
