A short duration like that is great if your chams drink that fast. Mine do not even think about it for the first 5 minutes.
Guess you just have to experiment.
I use plastic ( garbage bags, black) on the back and side. This helps significantly. I use scotch tape and they are easily moved or modified. Just the 2 sides works wonders for me.
My 5 month old female veiled has just recently started to not like handling. From the time I got her she was totally content with being held by anyone. But some recent changes to her enclosure ( mistking) she has gotten really aggressive when I try to pick her up. Hissing and gaping have become...
A couple of thoughts regarding a fish tank heater.
Do not let the water level fall below the minimum for the heater. Could just burn out, or worse start a fire.
Also, don't add water rapidly to a low level reservoir, this could cause a heated heater to shatter.

Now as for the rest...
In addition to the previous suggestions which I totally agree with, what are you using to substitute plants? Do you have a lot of branches or something?
Please post pics of your cham and enclosure.
Yes, give 3 times a day for longer duration (5-6 min) and see what happens for a week. My advice, take it or leave it. Just make sure you are not flooding your enclosure.
A lot of members say that it takes at least 5 minuets for the cham to go into drinking mode. 2 minuets IMO is to short. I think that may have something to do with the dehydration issue.
Do you have a drainage system in place for excess water?
I have similar situation. I turned the frequency down and increased duration. It makes her a little less pissed. Everyone seems to say they get used to it after a while. I am on week 3 and am seeing minor improvements. Its a step in the right direction i guess. Fyi i went from 5 four minute...
Thanks everyone again. Today I attempted to see what she really wanted to do. Like a few of you said she did not bite. She was putting on her war face though. LOL. She hissed and lunged and when my finger got close enough she did not bite. I rubbed her neck a little then decided to leave her...
So this problem is getting worse. Today was a really nice sunny day and I wanted her to get some good rays while they are here. This is how it went down:
I put a medium superworm in my hand and slowly held it in front of her. She looked at it for about 4 minuets then my arm was going to fall...
I went to walmart and bought a mop bucket. It is about 3 gallons and works fine for $5. The lack of a top allows me to constantly monitor the water level.
Thanks everyone for the tips and words of encouragement. It has been a little rough on me also because I care so much about this cham and she has been so sweet all along until recently. I am going to try some of these pointers and not give up on trying.
Does anyone have different luck with...
Hi everyone thanks for looking. To the point then...

I had same question. Advice I received was get jewelry wire or floral wire to tie through screen. Branches can be hung with thumb tacks through ends and screen.
