    Dark colour

    Normally If a chameleon turns dark in colour it means he is stressed. I would recommend not handling him until his normal colour returns. Also make sure he is properly hydrated and that he is eating.

    I think It's also worth mentioning that they live in clutches. They are not territorial! I often find 3 or 4 chameleons in a single bush. It's quite hard to spot them though (being so small).
