Psi, I accidentally read the label wrong on my calcium and thought it said without d3. So I had two d3 calciums and a herptivite. It was flukers calcium that I accidentally bought. Soo she has been getting calcium with d3 everyday for 6 months :( but she seems healthy and has an extremely strong...
About 5 or 6 months ago I went to the pet store to get calcium suppliments and somehow (probably due to the fact of me being dislexic and overly tired that day) read the label wrong so that I read it as saying calcium without vitamin d3 but in fact I just realized today that it was calcium WITH...
I keep my 6 month female veileds basking temperature at 82.5 and she has good appetite and isn't lethargic or anything. Thd bottom of the cage is 69 but she doesn't ever go to the bottom because I have a plant pot and a laying bin on the bottom. So my heat gradient is 70F at the lowest temp she...
They won't really pay much attention to the dish. Offer the veggies/fruit to them with your fingers or tweezers and idk about other peoples veileds but mine knows what the fruits/veggies are and will just eat them off of leaves or vines if I put the stuff on them
What if I like put some of the gutload on a slice of fruit or some lettuce or dip an insect in the gutload and then feed it to the cham? Just an idea, and seems that it could possibly make the whole gutloading thing irrelevant cuz the insects would have a lot more of the gutload per insect so...
Also don't go overboard with the mealworms, they are high in fat so id just give them as a treat if you give them at all. Maybe try baby silkworms hornworms or if u have a roach colony maybe he'd eat the nymphs, you could buy some housefly larvae and see if he likes those...
Try cleaning and washing the cage and all the furniture and vines and plants if you have live plants clean them too. Then just open a few windows in its room to circulate the air around and see if that helps
Yes I have an 18" and my cage width is 18". So just get it so the bulb is about the length of your cage width. So 18" wide cage-18" bulb, 24" cage-24" bulb. Or longer bulb if you have cages next to eachother so you have one bulb on two cages
I am not sure as of recently if zoomed has altered their cfl's but they can cause blindness and eye problems to your cham. I play it safe and have the linear reptisun tube and couldn't be happier with it, my cham loves it and when she is at the top she's actually under the reptisun rather than...
And about making the frame with 2x4s and putting heavy duty screening on the top for the light fixtures is going to be an inside cage. Sorry I shoulda been more specific on what I was trying to say lol
For the one I was talkinbg about putting fence type stuff, I was going to stake the fence down and cut out something like particle board for the bottom and just but regular screen as the top for an outdoor cage. The secont post I did on this thread was an idea for an indoor enclosure. And I live...
LOL florida is scared of the roaches taking over and the world being run by giant roach people hahaha. Probly gunna happen anyways after all them people polluting so much and what is sure to come, more radioactive waste getting spread around *cough* japan*cough* that only the roaches and maybe...
Lol sorry, I completely forgot to mention my idea for the indoor cage. I was gunna get 2x4's or whichever widths look best for support then stain them ect.. Then build a 3'wx3'Lx4'h frame. Would it work if I sanded the wood really good so it was very very smooth and just staple the screen on the...
