I bought one for my 18x18....it sucked big time. Size was off and I couldn't open my lower door. Don't waste your money. I like LLL and to be clear, I don't believe they make these, just resell them.
I was too lazy to ship it back so I'm planning on using it inside my 24 to sit my plant in...
What size cage? If a 16 you will most likely see some over spray since the spray is wide. In an 18 I've had no issues. Just make sure you position it so water isn't bouncing off perches and leaves out off you cage.
My mist sessions are 2 minutes a piece, the water is on the cage floor and...
The dowels would work if your not planning on any weight sitting on the pvc board like a potted plant. If you have a potted plant put an upside down pot on the bottom of the cage...measure the height, make that the overall height for for raised bottom. You would then put the dowels in, add...
That's like putting a person in a city they aren't familiar with and tell them good luck finding the grocery store with no map LOL. Bigger isn't always better. But there are some smart choices with design that can make this work, albeit not ideal as having grow out cages as she grows.
That's going to be a huge cage for her. If finances are an issue and nothing is avialable on something like Craigslist you might want to consider building a false bottom so that the bottom can be raised until she grows bigger. I had built one using a redwood fence panel for about $5 which...
My setup is in a room where I watch tv until 10 or 11pm regularly. The cage is next to a 7' entertainment stand, so there is light from the tv but not directly at him. To boot Jaeger sleeps on the branch closest to the front of the cage were there is the most light exposure.
His lights go...
Will do. I did a wipe down but nothing close to a deep cleaning. On Friday or Saturday he'll be moving into his brand new 2x2x4 cage that I put together last nite. Right now I'm trying to figure out how I want to setup drainage since I am adding a second mistking nozzle to the bigger cage...
I use a bin system too with about 4x6 cutouts in the lid with screen hot glued in place. Also use packing tape around the top 3" of the bin to make sure they can't climb out. I still get the stench though from the die offs. I google getting rid of cricket smell a month ago and some guy setup...
My boy is up to 126g. Totally awesome to feel the weight when he's on my hand. : ). I tried to get him to fire up but he paid no attention to the mirror....and after one minute I wasn't going to push my luck. But his blues and oranges are amazing when he's sleeping!
I wanted to thank you for the input. Jaeger and I got the hang of giving him the meds on day 2-7 and he was a champ. His follow up fecal was negative and he put on about 20g since his first vet visit a few weeks ago.
I'm thinking we'll do another fecal in 6 months to make sure things...
I have used LLL Reptile for my Mistking and they are reliable. They send out tracking numbers quickly. I ordered more tubing and a new wedge on Saturday and tracking number was emailed early Monday....mind you their warehouse is closed on weekends. Shipping charges are low.
Love it! That is awesome! Took me 3 or 4 weeks to name mt boy....hardest pet to name to date. I rather liked Turkey but that didn't fly to we'll so I use it when we have our one on one time, it's like his little super hero name that only the two of us know exists still. : )
My panther is 8.5 months and like yours wants out when I'm home. He'll go into his big boy home when I get back this weekend; if he wants out as much as now I'm considering him on the curious side. I never intended to hold him as much as I have even with my humidity and temps within the...
Jaeger. It's the German word (jagar) for hunter but had to spell a little different so people could pronounce it. His loving pet name is Turkey because he's a goofball.
"Cricket vacuum" made me laugh hard!
My breeder said they were junk. I had it for some time unused and lost the receipt so it's been in the closet ever since. I didn't ask questions...figure he's got 40 years experience and I went out and purchased what he recommended. I would say return it, second guessing would be too...
+2. This site is one of the best gifts I can give my cham. I sometimes read posts here while he's chillin' on my shoulder on the patio before I transfer him into his outside cage. .:D
I can relate to your frustration, I got off to a rocky start on one post but took a step back to evaluate how I interact with this forum, took a piece of humility and asked myself what it was I wanted from this experience.
As stated, this about one of the best resources out there and we all...
I administered his first dose a few minutes ago. The Care Resource section on this forum was helpful. It was a little stressful for the both of us and I was super nervous being my first time giving him meds orally. We both survived lol.
I have him back in his cage with the dripper going...
