Aloha! After recently going to the Repticon in Houston and seeing all the chameleons, I decided to go ahead and get back to getting one. So right now, my main question is should I get a Male or a Female? I think I read that females lay eggs even without a mate and it sounds like a pain, but I've...
I honestly have not purchased a chameleon yet but I do plan to. The chameleon I was probably going to get is a male veiled chameleon. The wall I was probably going to paint is a light tan.
I was thinking about painting my room tonight, and I was wondering if there were colors that would stress a chameleon? I wanna say dark colors do but I can't remember exactly what I read.
I kind of figured if I used a terrarium it'd be easier to maintain the temp in there despite whatever is going on around it. Not sure if it works that way though..
I live in Houston, but we only have one small AC unit in my room right now. I recently went up there though and it's 64 Degrees Fahrenheit. :o (Which is a bit out of the ordinary.)
Although My little sister and I have a closet that leads to both of our rooms and she sometimes opens her door and...
It'll get too hot :(
So where can I learn about building a terrarium? I have the Chameleon handbook so I'll definitely re-read building terrariums in there but is there anything else I should study?
I live in Texas and it gets REALLY hot. Our house's thermostat broke so we pretty much rely on AC units that aren't always consistent with their function, so would it best to maintain RH in a terrarium and take care of a chameleon in there? If so, could you provide me with some sites that may...
I might just do that, It looks really easy to make and easy to do. The only other question I have is how many crickets should a Male panther eat? Is that just something that depends on age or what?
Hola! Here lately I've decided I want a Male Nosy Faly Panther chameleon and we're probably gonna feed it crickets, but how exactly do you feed him?
I've heard of some cup method and I've heard others just leave crickets in the terrarium/cage for them to roam in so when ever he's...
I wanna say that if it is still on there after quite a bit of time it can have a serious effect on their skin. I don't own a cham though, I only gather that through a book. So don't take my word for it..
Don't you want the temp to be between 81 and 90 degrees Fahrenheit? I don't own any chameleons yet so I'm not speaking from experience but that's what this book told me...
I have not purchased a chameleon yet, I wanted to do a bit of research on them before I even though about buying one, and I live in Texas.
How many actual breeds of chameleon are there? The only ones I am aware of right now are the Jackson's, Panthers, and Veiled (there a plural version of...
Hola! I've recently discovered my love for chameleons and I was actually thinking about getting one to take care of. To be honest though I'm a total noob when it comes to taking care of reptiles, but my dad however is not. (He said he'd be willing to help with a few things such as the cage :D)...
