I have the same going on right now. I have about 4 mo old Veiled and he eats like a monster. I only cup feed him, and he would eat 25 in an hour and go for more. As soon as I put the cup with about 10 small/medium crickets inside, after 5 minutes it would be empty. He just seems to be always...
Hi Everyone,
My wife is currently volunteering at botanical garden, and they have live butteries there. I know that some are toxic and some are OK to feed. Does anyone know which are OK, because I couldn't find on Google. Thanks.
Whenever I open the container with my silkworms, I get hit with their terrible smell. Is it normal? I clean the container like every other day, many of them have black stripes on them though, i guess its form waste. Any thoughts, or suggestions... Thanks
I have a pump type mister, which makes everything soaking wet in 30 sec, so I mist about that.
I have one 75w bulb, and another is just regular house bulb light like 13w for extra light in cage.
I would love to make a temp drop at night, but don't know how. I can't make it too cold in the...
Thanks, What do you think about his appetite? I don't know if he doesn't like his cup anymore or its something else. The bugs inside the cup are very passive though and hardly move. It does sometimes get wet and bugs inside die from drowning, but I clean it the same day. What would be a good...
Please let me know if my enclosure is OK, and why is he mostly dark in color. Also I noticed that he had loss of appetite lately.

Yea, I have double bulb fixture as well, I only had an basking bulb there, but yesterday put a regular house bulb there as well. Well I guess, I will have to look for lower wattage. Thanks. Off to Walmart...
The light dome that i have rests directly on top of the cage, and actual bulb is about 3 inches apart from it.
His basking spot is about 10" from the top
I already switched from 100w to 75w, but still gets to 90F on that spot, My cage is 48"x24"X24".
I have seen a blog here about a baby and juvenile chams, it says that basking light might not be required....
I have my cham for about 2 weeks, lots of time he would be brownish in color and sit under bask. I was told that he gets darker to absorb more heat. However, I think it's too much basking for him, since his temp would get to like 85-90 F under bask, and one time he even gaped. So I decided to...
For the vitamins I just use rep-cal herptivite 2-3 times a month, and calcium as you said. I order worms online such as butterworms, silkworms, etc. As for crickets i just buy like 50 each week at my local reptile store.
During the day time with misting about 4-5 times a day, dripper and humidifier, I manage to keep humidity on average at 50%. I heard that during night it should be dry, so I don't mist and dripper is empty. With only humidifier on, humidity during night time is 35%, is it too low for veiled 3 mo...
