That's hilarious!
My veiled HATES misting. He hides under his magnatural until it's over, then makes his way to drink from the top of the screen, and only if he's convinced I'm not watching.
My veiled, Anarchy, he thinks he's too cool for his cage. He's always asking to be let out, but doesn't...
First of all, I'm no expert.
I've got one veiled and one carpet, but I've never owned a panther.
I could be off here, but I don't think the breed will matter as much as the source of where you get them. I've heard mixed things on how docile or aggressive various chameleons are, and that it...
Hey, I got a carpet from Kevin as well :)
What's your little boys name? Mines Telo, I wonder if they're siblings :p
I've had a hard time getting my veiled to grow adjusted to me, but Telo let me hand feed him right away. I took him out a couple times for some sun, and actually just today he...
My veiled took about two months before eating from my hand, it was a huge ordeal.
After that he'll always eat a couple crickets or worms from my hand, but he only lets me hold him when he's already out of his cage. He hates being cooped up in there.
I'm no expert but I think I've read some...
Angana is a blue thread or silk in Malagasy.
Might be fun to name her something with a madagascar feel to it :)

You've probably noticed that Malagasy names are long and hard to pronounce, but some of the words are really cool!
Jk :)
Talked to Kevin, he said it's normal.
My veiled never did that, but he also doesn't drink in front of me so it must be part of him acting shy.
Anyway, thanks for reading :)
Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - Carpet, M, about 3mo. I've had him three days.
Handling - Haven't handled him, don't plan on handling him soon.
Feeding - Small crickets, dusted with calcium and I'll give him multivitamins and calcium with d3 every two weeks. Crickets eat water gel, dino...
Hey guys,
I've decided to put up some shower curtain on the sides of my guys screen cage to help with humidity and keeping his mist only in the cage.
I'm magnet shopping to help hold it up, do you think 4.5lbs pull force would be enough? What if i wanted to later replace the shower curtain...
So, I'm starting to run out of dino fuel, and I'm also getting my guy some horn worms as a treat.
I noticed Great Lakes also has a gut load for all insects, but the ingredients aren't on the description.
Has anyone used it? Or have any idea what it consists of?
Here's the url in case I...
Thank you guys so much!
I misted him again with warm water but he seemed too cold (almost black, not moving as much and cold to the touch)
He's so small, and my showers kind of harsh so I ended up taking him into the sun and spraying a fine mist of warm water above him. He seemed happy...
Update:
I just noticed two small legions on this guys neck...
Is this from rubbing his head/neck on the branch?
I just called the local herp vet and they can't take him until monday. Is there anything I can do until then???
Thanks again!
Today he is awake (for the most part) and he seems active, although still not eating :(
Also, today I noticed a bubble in the skin of his right eye. It only appears when he blinks hard, is there something in his eye? It looks like he's trying to squeeze it out.
In addition...
It's dial... I'll replace them when I get that light tomorrow.
I'll move him while I'm at work, it won't be direct sunlight (I'm afraid he'll overheat) but brighter than where he is now.
Hopefully after some sun he can try eating some more. :/
Thank you so much for responding so quickly!
Yeah I checked today but there weren't any :( the only thing in town is small crickets, some of which are small enough to feed and the rest I'm giving to my frogs.
That makes sense. The bulb was originally meant for a larger cage. I'll get him a smaller one tomorrow, do you suggest I keep it off while I'm at work? (his lights turn on at 7:30am and I'm out of work at noon)
I've got two thermometers, one in the high corner where the heat is strongest, and...
