well, to start with, I think there is a lot of physical contact with your chameleon where as you should give him at least a week or two to get used to his surroundings. You shouldn't get your chameleon to the point where he is bitting you. That's a bad sign. I don't think they give "love bites"...
tube lights cover more area in your cage where as coil does not.
