Welcome to the forums. You won't be disappointed with the Kammers (I have one) they are fantastic!

    BSF Substrate?

I use coconut substrate. I'm a huge fan of bsf and bsfl! The larvae are naturally high in calcium and can be gutloaded as well. My panther eagerly eats both stages of development.

Help, my chameleon is gaining too much weight

Have you weighed him? Why do you think he's overweight? They generally slow down on their food intake around 7-8 months or so. 7 crickets every other day isn't that much IMO.

    Why is he doing this?

You said glass cage, is that a fish tank or something like those exo Terra cages? Post a picture if you can.

    Why is he doing this?

Well for starters, you should never grab your chameleon! Veileds are known to be 'grumpy' and some will never appreciate their owners wanting to hold them. How long have you owned him? If he's new to you, he'll need time to adjust.

    Constipation?

All I can add is my experience with my two year old panther.. he refuses to deficate in the enclosure but will have a nice BM minutes after coming out of his enclosure. He can and generally holds it for weeks. I have a similar misting schedule like you and he seems overall healthy. Variety of...

    After They’ve Passed

So sorry for your loss. There are some companies out there that will cremate and then you can choose the type of wood box for the ashes to rest in. When I worked in animal welfare, I knew a guy whose business was this and they were primarily dogs.. I would personally find a spot in my yard but I...

    Mistking Nozzles

One nozzle for one chameleon and enclosure should be sufficient.

    Orange sherbet?

Interesting. I imagine he's going to be a future (if not already) breeder? I wonder if he would pass the unique colors on.

    Orange sherbet?

Incredible! Is he something that you've bred for the specific look?

They grow up so fast :(

The second picture looks just like my guy when he was a few months old!its amazing how much they transform their colors!

    Puked up white stuff?

They sometimes eat their shed, especially when they are young. Could it have been that?
  15. Crashbandit05

    Substrate

None. Most of us prefer a substrate-less bottom to make cleaning easier and avoid impaction.

Where should I buy a chameleon?

It seems flchams.com has nice veileds with a variety of bloodlines to choose from. Like mentioned above, try to avoid a pet store chain where husbandry is usually sub-par.

    Are these safe

I've used them in my enclosure for two years with no issues. They hold up well and you can bend them to your liking. Although I noticed that too much bending will make the black stuff come off so I try not to move them around.

Is it taking too long for my Cham to shed?

How old is he? My two year old just had a full body shed that lasted a full week. The older they get, the longer it takes.

    Shedding problem please help

Have you tried extra misting sessions or a long shower?

Can anyone tell me the locale of my panther??

I'd guess ambilobe. He's got some good colors too.
