Looks normal. The 'designer' cross made me lol. Most of us refer to them as locale cross. I have a panther with several different locales, I love not knowing how he's going to look after a shed.
Forgot to mention, as far as I know, this started today so I hope if there's something off with my husbandry I can fix it before a vet appointment is scheduled. The closest one that is comfortable with exotics is hours away..

I'm in western NC and remember reading about a breeder in the Hickory area.. Charlotte Craigslist has them from time to time but then you don't really know what kind of care they've received. I ended up going with a site sponsor out in California and had my guy express shipping.
I haven't had any issues with mine (knock on wood). All I can think of is to check the fittings and make sure everything is snug. Is the pump coming on at all?
Definitely walk away. Especially with it being your first. As mentioned above, his crest scales appear wonky and his fat pads are completely void which means he's malnourished and or dehydrated.

There's a few things you can do. Raise the temperature by upping the bulb wattage, like you mentioned many of us use a solid walls/glass and screen combo to help with heat and humidity. A cheaper solution would be to wrap three sides with plastic or something. How are you measuring the...
