Yes, mine as a baby would occasionally squeak when I'm messing with a leaf or a mister, though he's a bit older now and tends to hiss more. Though these sounds are not something you would hear from another room. I'm stumped...
Just put my Cham on a free range for the first time yesterday. Was reading in my room, he made 3 escape attempts in 10 minutes before I gave up and put him back into his enclosure. Any ideas?
I've had Vincent for about a month and a half and I'd like to make sure he looks healthy! These were all taken 10 minutes ago. He seems to have stayed mostly darker colors recently...maybe I'm just paranoid.
Perhaps its because he's stressed about his new habitat, It'll take about a week for him to become more comfortable...but thats a very small amount off food for three whole days. Better let one of the experts handle this one...best of luck!
I would rate it 9/10 because occasionally you have to lift the enclosure up so you can dump the water in the tray out! But I love it. Makes life much easier :p.
Alright, I'll try that. It could be a matter of an inaccurate hydrometer, but then again, might not... I've also got a very small cage right now as Vincent is only about 3 months old, its all I can do to keep the mister from spraying everywhere!
Perhaps thats a better Idea, what area do you live in? Maybe the humidity where you are is better. I'm in VA and am having a serious problem with it, where I have a humidifier running in my tiny room almost 24/7, plus the misting. The humidity won't raise over 40%. I'm assuming that my dial...
I bought a drainage tray just last week and its amazing! You will occasionally have to move the setup to dump it out, but its 70,000 times better than having to mop it up with a towel twice a day! What I did was I got the proper size tray, then I drilled about 9 holes into the bottom part of the...
I have a monsoon RS 400, I have it on a timer so it turns on at 8:00 AM, and goes off every 4 hours for 60 seconds until 8:30 PM when the timer shuts it off. It would need to be more often if you have a lower humidity.
I would say the best beginners Chameleon is the
Veiled chameleon. I have one. he hates to be held, freaks if I touch him, hisses at me whenever my hand goes in the cage, and Ive been working on taming him for about a month, and its probably going to last another 3 before he tolerates my...
It's wonderful your so caring for your little guy! It will take a little bit for you to learn your chams favorite hiding spots in the cage. But I'm confident in due time you'll learn where to look! I'm so sorry about your last Cham, but I'm extremely confident he's very happy in heaven, and that...
