You are dusting too much. Your crickets should be a slightly lighter color brown and not completely white.

I'll add that his enclosure setup is entirely wrong, so that alone tells me the pet store you are getting him from is clueless about chameleons in general. I agree with jpowell and would steer clear of buying him.

Yes, what Carol mentioned in the above post! The Fluker's cube is really only good for keeping your crickets hydrated and the nutritional benefits are little to none. I give the OP points for asking about it beforehand. Not too long ago, someone posted a video of their chameleon swimming (trying not to drown) in a swimming pool filled with who knows how many different types of chemicals.

Hornworms do have mandibles, which they will use to bite. The small-medium worms won't do any damage, but the big ones pack a heck of a pinch that can definitely hurt your chameleon if it happens to latch on to a sensitive area.
