Congrats so far.
Did anyone else notice the cham logo on the back wall? That's cool. You made that too?
I assume this is just a temporary cage until he grows out of it and you can transfer those plants into the bigger cage?
I would like to get a Dragonstrand but I think when shipping is factored in, it would become too much more than say, a Reptibreeze XL purchased locally because I am in Hong Kong.
Those are Dragonstrand ledge braces on your XL cage? That would be interesting to get as well but then the shipping...
So I have an update. So I've continued to let my wife know about my interest in chameleons. After we had lunch today, she agreed to get me this little guy. :)
We got home and she put him together right away for me.
I was going to start a thread and give it a title like "Can you help me sex...
If you are adding plants that do not need a large pot, you could try hanging them so that that nothing rests on the bottom (or at least nothing big). Then it will be a lot easier to clean the bottom. Some members on here have creatively hung their plant pots in this way.
To ease your fears, perhaps you can start off slowly at your own pace by getting the cage all set up first, including the measuring instruments, supplements, branches, plants, lighting, etc. Then start a thread and post pictures of your set up and everything that you have ready to go except for...

When I get my set up, I was thinking about getting a cover to place over the cage to give the cham total darkness during the entire sleeping period and also to help keep the temperature warmer during the cold winter months here in Hong Kong. I got Reptibreeze LED - Good or just a gimmick?']this...
My understanding of Blue Bar is not so much the vertical bars but the single horizontal bar that runs across the body. But I am even newer to this hobby than you so it's best to let the experienced keepers chime in here.
By the way, he is starting to colour up quite nicely. Do you know when he...
He is starting to look more and more like his dad. Please keep up with these update pictures. It's fun to watch their progression and to see how closely they resemble their sire.
Do you stick a thumbtack into the branch and attach that to a neodium magnet on the outside of the cage or do you somehow insert a neodium magnet into the branch and attach that to another neodium magnet on the outside of the cage? Thanks.
