I used to have it in her cage months ago but since she was not showing any interest in it and she wasn't digging anywhere I decided to remove it. anyhow there's substrate in my enclosure but I didn't notice her digging at all, the only thing she does is to go down, walk a lil bit for few seconds...
guys can you help me? I came back home and my veiled girl was on the ground behind the plant vase, I caught her to be in that spot time few weeks ago too. she had a very dark color when she were behind the vase. and I don't know whats wrong, I dont know is she's exploring, if shes gravid, or if...
not yet because I don't understand if she's gravid or not, but I will do one this afternoon. But I have a problem.. a big bin won't fit in my enclosure cause it's full of glued branches and plants. the only bin that could fit inside it is not so deep I'm afraid (the one in the pic). I can't buy...
Hi guys, 3 days ago I noticed my girl with a different color pattern, she now keeps having it and she's moving a lot in her cage, she goes up and down and she also walks upside down on the top side of the cage. I thought it could be cause she's gonna be gravid but her belly is not so big, she...
I noticed that my young veiled shed 2 times in a month, the first time was ok (even if since i got her she keeps having a part of retained skin on her left side of her body) but this second time she's only shedding on the sides of her body, is that normal?
It takes usually days before she...
hi guys i don't know if i'm overthinking but my young veiled female cham is acting a bit weird since i've added a new branch near her basking spot, i'm trying to add more branches to my enclosure, i've already added a new jungle vine and she's ok with it but now that i've added this other...
i've been pretty much clear about the fact that no other kind of bin fits in my cage except for the one in the picture. anyway waaait a sec, you told me now that when i see her digging in the bin to move her in the bigger one, but they are not supposed to see us during the laying or they'll be...
that's a good thing, thanks. Anyway i'm not going to mate her with a male, i'm just talking about the laying of infertile eggs. how do i know when it's time to move her in the bigger external lay bin if she refuses the little one?
This is the bin i was talking about, unfortunately this is the only bin that could fit inside my enclosure.. so i better use this or an external bin? any opinion?
thanks for your help! got it! :)
btw, just to make sure, tomorrow i will post the lay bin that can fit in my cage so that you (or someone else) can tell me if it's decent for my little cham :) a picture is always better than just text!
absolutely, i will move the spot light and the uvb right on the bigger lay bin along with a water dripper.
Anyway i wasn't talking about moving her a lot while she's gravid, i was thinking to put her from time to time (2 times a week for 1 hour) during these days when she's not gravid yet, so...
if that won't be enough and she won't lay eggs i think i'll try to put her in a bigger lay bin outside of the cage and wait, i read about different experiences by some guys here where they managed to let the cham lay her eggs in a trash bin outside the cage, so i'll give it a try.
What if i...
the only bin i can put inside the cage is around 6-8" deep and large about 12x12".... a deeper bin won't fit in the enclosure..
this is the base of my enclosure (the only thing i can do is to remove the tree bark along with the now semidead carnivorous plant and put the lay bin there under that...
i will post a pic tomorrow because now it' night here, by the way for now i can tell you that the cage is large 80cm , high 60cm and his depth is about 45 cm . i know it's not so big but i'm definitely going to buy a bigger enclosure when she gets bigger, for now she is perfectly fine in it and...
hi guys i own a young female veiled cham and i wanna be prepared for when she'll be gravid and ready to lay (non fertile) eggs. i heard that the lay bin must be inside the enclosure in order to get her used to it but i know some people just put the lay bin outside the enclosure but now i'm...
