my veiled is a weirdo . He sleeps on the top of the screen cage upside down like spiderman. My other boy just curls up wherever he wants on the vines/leaves:D
Hey guys I am getting a male turquoise sunburst veiled chameleon and I wondered if there is anything I need to do, enclosure wise differently than my panther chameleon. I am 100% sure my panther setup is perfect, I obsessed over every little detail. He has large pothos plants, a fake ivy plant...
Im a reptile mommy :) yeah I care a lot about my reptiles. I live on my own and they are my babies lol. My boyfriend and I were cheering last night lol it was really funny
Looks like the showers paid off! I came home from work and there was a giant pile in his usual spot. I'm so happy he managed to get that out of him lol
I just lost a 3 month old bell albino rescue to coccidia of some sort. I put a lot of money in him and tried everything I could to save him. He was just too little and I got him when it was too late. I really cant handle another sick reptile. I also have a blind gecko who I rescued from Kijiji...
If he is in the jacket and its dark he might think its nap time because it is dark. I find when I put my cham in a box with a blanket over it for the vet he almost always falls asleep.
I have been giving him baths but nothing is happening, I have a vets appointment with him on Friday at 6:30pm. I will keep showering him every night and hopefully he does his business before the vet but I want to ensure he is okay.
Your Chameleon - Male panther chameleon 8 months old
How long has it been in your care? About 2 months
Handling - only if I have to
Feeding - What are you feeding your cham? crickets mostly but he showed no interest them all week so hes liked silk worms. I saw him eat a few crickets today...
I am the paranoid type and wash my hands before and after touching my reptiles. I will clean a cage, wash hands, clean cage, wash hands etc. For 4 reptiles. I just want to ensure I dont get one sick if another one was sick.
Floyd has gone nearly 2 weeks without pooping. I was worried but there actually wasnt anything wrong. Just didnt want the crickets so he didnt eat as much so he didnt need to go.
Thankfully my bearded dragon would eat anything the moment it see it. This is really sad. I only keep brown crickets but I had no idea black crickets were like this.:(
They look like they are healing fine. It's really hard to find any info on bites, I searched lots of terms both on the forums and google and most of the stuff I got back was burns which I know isnt possible given the light is outside and not even resting on the cage.
He is eating fine, poop is normal, urates are white, actively looking for ladies and doesnt at all seem to be upset. I have noticed large uneaten crickets in the cage in the morning that I missed so maybe they bit him?
