heres my cages and free range area for my 3 little ones. these guys are spoiled indeed!!! i only use real plants, my humidity hovers around 70%-85%. i use a direct water lined with filtration mist king with 2 nozzles on each cage. mistings are 3 times a day, 4 hours apart for 5 minutes long...
man, i think that melleri are by far my favorite chameleon. i hope to own one one day. im currently working on a huge free range in my basement with a drainage system for a mist king. i also bought a 48" quad fixture from LYR with the 12% uvb bulb and i have 2 different basking spotlights. one...
i love this breed of chameleon, i have one as well. their colors are beautiful, sometimes mine gets a greyish sky blue on places around his neck and front feet. his colors are best when hes out in the daytime sun. they go from dark browns to neon greens, theyre awesome!
i have 2 of the 2' T5 quads (soon to be 3) from lyr, they have their own built in timers and only have one cord. not sure which one you guys have with multi cords. my fixtures have 1 plant bulb, 2 day bulbs, and a 12% uvb, they also have that moonlight led thing too. i think the moonlight led...
hey guys! i was wonder ing what the care sheet would look like if there was one here for a giant Fischer chameleon. is it the same as a jacksons? i have a juvenile male and want to do the best i can for him. thank you!
might want to invest in a screened cage, all that glass traps a lot of heat inside. he would benefit with better circulation. id get a medium at least and move him up to an xl when hes grown.
yeah jajeanpierre, i dont usually use heat emitters either for my veiled. i was just suggesting, just thinking of things that popped into my head forgetting about a veileds native climate changes. i have a few different species and where i have them we get cold winters and the temp drops at...
awesome job so far. no lights at night, if it drops below 55-60 at night you can use a ceramic heater if you wish. as for feeders there are many sponsors on this forum who sell a plethora of feeders you can have delivered to you that you can try. some are horn worms, wax worms, phoenix worms...
(male) hell eat eventually, hes just adjusting. he looks pretty healthy to me, i have one as well. give him some time but keep offering him food and leave him be to eat while he doesnt have an audience.
mist king!!! no humidifier used here, if you have plants and you have a good misting schedule there should be enough humidity. a freebie for you as a dripper and what some do is just put ice cubes on the top of the cage, put them above a plant and ill run down it and if you dont want to deal...
brought my veiled out today to plants i had set up for all my chameleons to hang out on at times. he loved it! i misted the plants profusely and he drank too. 92f here today with high humidity. he was out for about an hour.
man i wish my chameleons ate that much, id be lucky if they ate 10 feeders, no matter what they are. my baby fischer eats a good amount though, but hes the only baby of the 4 chams i have.
