She seems to be doing good, I spray her cage about 2 to 3 times daily and I spray the crickets with a mist of water before she eats them. I'm giving her a little extra food and I'm dusting with calcium. She doesn't seem dehydrated, and she's moving around a little bit and basks under her lights. :)
Hello, everyone. My chameleon just layed her first ever clutch of eggs a little while ago! She seems very exhausted and is protecting where she buried them. I was going to let her relax for tonight and was wondering if in the morning I should give her more crickets and food than I normally do...
I use carrots and cricket gutloading feed for them. And I dust the crickets twice a day without D3 and then every month I do the multivitamin and with D3 twice.
Okay thank you, she just goes in sometimes and I'll leave her alone but when I peek she's back up at the top. I will definitely try putting a towel over her cage and the bin takes up about half of her cage I just hope all turns out well.
My little cham is carrying eggs, I can see it in her shape. I'm worried that she won't lay them, I have a bin set up inside her cage. It is 12 and a half inches deep, with topsoil and a bit of wet playsand mixer in. She's gone into it before, but just seems to make her way back to the top of her...
I was wondering if my chameleon looked like she was carrying eggs. She doesn't show gravid colors, but sometimes she seems to go towards the bottom of the cage and make her way back up. She has been eating, drinking, and I dust her food with calcium w/o D3 everyday. Sorry if the pictures aren't...
My little stubborn cham does the same thing! She seems so petrified of me, I was told to get a stick/branch and have her climb onto it and take her out that way. I try to avoid grabbing her directly due to stress. :p
My chameleon doesn't seem to use her laying bin in her cage, so I'm going to pick up a large bin to stick her in today. I'm going to mix the playsand with the topsoil. Should I put the lights on her and feed her as well? I know some people don't bother, because they're getting ready to lay eggs.
Yes I dust without D3 at every feeding. I give her crickets in the morning and in the afternoon and dust both times. Thank you for your suggestion, I will give her with D3 tomorrow.
Just a few questions to make sure everything is on track, if you guys don't mind me asking.
1) I was told to give my cham calcium with D3 every 2 weeks and multivitamins every 2 weeks. Is it okay if I give her with D3 on the 1st of every month and the multivitamins on the 15th of every month, or...
