I have heard it is about 3 times a year. Really the info im looking for is how often they lay when they are regularly mated, and how long you should wait between laying/ matings. thanks!
my female looks EXACTLY like your receptive one apart from the translucent feet. same casque size ect lol. why would you think they will be infertile? do females not usually lay fertile eggs the first time? thanks again for all your help
unfortunatly my camera isnt working... she is bright green with small blue dots and just in the past week or two she has gotten some orange spots on her side and arms. she has been restless the past week not digging at the bottom but cruising around the cage trying to find a way out. dont...
I have a 14 m.o. female veiled and she is showing the receptive colors like the turqoise dots, orange dots ect. she starting pawing at the bottom of her cage today, but i would like to breed her. is it too late to introduce the male if she might be thinking about laying? thanks!
yea just make sure the mantis isnt too big becuase the they really do have some big mandibles- they are made to chew into insects while they are alive.
also when you are "trimming" their front arms, keep your fingers away, they bite HARD!
Ive been breeding my crickets for a while now, and i use 20qt sterilite containers. I have 2 baby veileds and they each seem to eat 20 crix a day. I buy mature crix and let them lay before i feed them off to my big male, but these little guys eat the crix faster than i can grow them...
My 10 mo veiled wont touch the damn things... i bought like 30 (mini colony) and they are breeding ect, but i think im gonna ditch them. they have a funky smell too, but not as bad as crickets.
Just curious, if a chameleon suffers from MBD and then corrective action is taken to cure it, will the chameleons bone re-straighten? just curious to see how well animals recover from this.
same here i tried misting directly well, but it didnt make a difference. then like 2-3 weeks later, he finished his shed. hes been acting totally normal so i guess its not something to serious. i think maybe your right, that things grow at different speeds.
someone gave me a bag of dry iguana food, and i refuse to use it on my iguanas so i tried giving it to the crickets and they love it. do you think it would be a good gutload as well as greens?
