Baby veiled temperature? (Search bar sucks!)

ChameleonsInMyHouse wrote a good care sheet on veileds: link. On there it says babies up to 3 months old should be kept at 74-76 F. Humidity 55-65%.

    Help Please!

No worries about breaking procedure. The form just allows us to see most essential information to make an informed suggestion :) Since he's quite young, I've read that you should be feeding closer to 20-25 small-med crickets every day. This is the stage of his life that he will grow most, so...

    Help Please!

Sorry to hear you are having troubles. One thing I notice straight away is that his temperature (I'm taking 90F to be his basking temp) is too high. The recommended basking temperature for a juvenile (1-3 months) veiled is 74-76 F. This should be gradually increased to 82-85 F as he reaches 1...

Update on Everything (LOTS of pics :))

All look very naturalistic, I think! Good job! That pic of the tail is fantastic! IMO good enough for the photo contest, but I just happen to think the tails are awesome. Sandra, I love your frogs! Some day... some day :)

In that pic there would appear to be dark lines around the eyes as if they are sunken in slightly. Sunken eyes are a tell of dehydration Having said that you said his urates are white. If they are consistently white then your chameleon is well hydrated. Possible just the lighting in the pic is...

DAMNIT he's so cute! :D His joints look really good. Possibly a tiny little bit dehydrated. Also, reading back on your How To Ask form, I'd maybe increase the number of feeders slightly. He's a young, growing lad :)

Yeah, you can raise the bulb up until an appropriate temperature is achieved. Alternatively you could buy a lower wattage basking bulb. Sandrachameleon gives a recipe for a dry gutload - https://www.chameleonforums.com/blogs/sandrachameleon/575-january-2012-dry-gutload-recipe.html. It...

    keeping locusts.

It would indeed be nice to breed them since they're so darned expensive! I haven't tried to do this, but have found these sources whilst looking: http://www.reptileforums.co.uk/forums/feeder/62128-how-breed-locusts.html http://www.reptileexpert.org/breeding-locusts/ Hope this helps.

I can see a few things in your chameleon husbandry that could be improved. Feeders - If I were you I would work silkworms and/or hornworms in to your rotation as well. Maybe some crickets and/or cockroaches too? Gutloading - I can't see any info on what you are gutloading your feeders...

    Friendliness

Just make sure the waxworms are a treat because (nutritionally speaking) they are one of the worst feeders. Very high in phosphorus. I believe a Ca:P ratio of about 1:7 (I'd try to calcium dust these, maybe get their back a little wet so the dust sticks), and very fatty too.
