Ok may not have owned 100 of chams, even this species, but one area I DO have extensive experience on.. BEHAVIOR..
looking at the video, It looks like he is trying to get away from something,, how are the temps in his cage? also perhaps try blocking the view from the window for a day...
I am curious, yes shedding issues can be a humidity issue, but how about a indication on overall health?
So why I ask a observation..
I have a three year old cham.. Veild.. Before I noted some changes in weight and activity.. and appetite.. he stopped shedding large sheets like he did as...
Make sure your FF culture is set well, and solid.. Made one up first time as a local store always has big ones.. Used the repashy super fly.. I did not get the thickness right.. all the flys stuck to it... OPPS.. Try again :)
FYI a bit of a drive but if you get desperate.. no one near you has...
Damm I really wanted to go to the Manchester reptile expo.. Sigh figured ok most likely would be 99% balls and leos.. no loss :( big Bummer! I would have been really tempted to snatch up a gravid Jackson, and they had pigmys there too..
You do have them in separate cages right?? I ask...
How about co2 bombing the plants? I been looking into options as I found some slugs in my new viv.. and been thinking about how I could use this for plant bug problems in the big guys cages.. anyone tried that??
Co2 canisters are not to expensive and bagging and gassing a plant in a...
update..
Well.. Still not sure where they came from.. However at least I see on the dart frog forums that is a somewhat common problem.. Truth is I think they may have hitched a ride with some seeds...
>>>The frogs wont eat them apparently.. the pigmy's don't seem to like them either...
I have seen mention of grinding up cuttle bone as a easy way?
Also perhaps even baked and ground egg shells?
you know I go with the order online, gives me a "good" reason to also perhaps buy something else, got to make that shipping worth it :)
With summer coming and a constant battle on these guys in my tomato garden.. Who figured I want them LOL
"IF" one finds the eggs, hatches them out and does not feed them tomato, but pepper.. or commercial food.. is it safe to feed them off?
Figured I ask.. buggers take a toll on my...
I have a trio of bearded pigmy's, WC and just arrived.. two weeks, settling in.. however..
SO I have a question.. I have seen the male chase down each female, try to mate.. get tossed off.. so breeding in these guys is either, very quick, I am guessing they are not receptive, As he is...
I am thinking of getting one of these :) http://www.homedepot.com/p/Lithonia-Lighting-24-in-28-Watt-White-Grow-Light-GRW-2-14-CSW-CO-M4/202745704
uses the T5 bulbs, can have a both a plant bulb and a UVB bulb..
Or heck just order from Light your reptiles :)
perhaps I am jaded on the oh bash chains thing.. but does she look gravid? if so present your argument on it.. not able to house. to address this would equal a a competing chain "petsmart" to adopt out for free..
Just saying..
Male for sure.. The spur description I think puts people off.. a Lump or bump would be a better term :)
Second the cup feeding some people like it hate it, with a baby I think it is not a bad Idea.. put it below near his basking spot.. Also easier to see what he eats.. Roaming...
FYI,,, I don't see any recent adds for chams.. but current BOI thread.. yes same seller..

have you tried it yet? may not even be a issue..
it may "seem smooth" but you may be surprised it really is not..
the diameter seems to be some of the biggest issues with grip, not texture.. at least with adult chams.. If it is really big, then yes texture for the nails to catch and...
Cannot stress how important doing a necropsy "if" she dies is..
Did the vet do a fecal?? on her?? In dogs/cats.. last test is ok, but in a sick animal you repeat as possible exposure is a chance.. Parasites are such a huge deal in reptiles, I am kind of surprised it was not part of her...
water conditioners also can produce water that can kill plants too.. safe for the animal people, but the salts are really harmful, specifically for orchids..
using Repisafe? does it do much more than remove chlorine? also is it really or any different than the less expensive "water...
The recover cage I got from someone else reading older post.. So cannot claim ownership of that idea :)
but not a bad idea really in a enclosed environment the males can find them a little to easy.. something I may experiment with..
It was the nifty light that kind of sold me :)...
I use them but only for plant growth..
My basking bulb, incandescent.. is also a plant bulb.. "supposed to produce the range" not even as expensive as a reptile bulb, last way longer to.. not quite as cheap as a normal incandescent bulb.. Not sure if true, but seen better plant growth since...
Adult WC Cham, received with a really swollen area on leg..
