Thank you all for the kind word of encouragement. We will do our best to get this guy healthy again. I have him outside today getting some natural sun that he needs. Im going to see if he will eat something here shortly.
Worse than I anticipated
Howdy everyone. Well we went to pick this guy up this evening. He is much worse than I really anticipated. The guy we got him from said that he was eating but honestly I couldnt be sure.
He was housed for 1 year in a 55 gallon aquarium with sand in the bottom...
Thanks. I havent heard of this plant causing any Cham any harm and I know a lot of folks use them in their enclosures. I do know that it can be a problem for some humans though. Just dont eat it I guess. Can cause a rash too I guess.
You say yours does well indoors? Does it get any...
I would like to keep this plant in one of my enclosures that will be inside my home. I have read mixed reviews about keeping them indoors, some saying they will do fine and others saying they need high light.
I will about 2-3 times a week be able to move the enclosure outdoors for the day...
I wish it were straight up adoption but he is asking 50 bucks. Not a bad price for him really. The cost isn't an issue I just wanted to give this guy a good home more so than anything else.
No worries Dave, he will go right into his new screen enclosure as soon as I get him home.
Thats cool. Which school, FGCU?
He does look pretty healthy from the picture. Its a crappy picture though. The Cham is being housed in a 55g aquarium by its current owner. He said he has had him for about a year now. He also said that he is of good size, about two hand lengths or so.
Hello everyone. I am new to the forum and wanted to say hello as well as share what my buddy Danny and I will be doing tomorrow.
Danny found an add for a Veiled Cham and after seeing the pics posted we made the decision that we could not let this guy go to possibly someone else who may not...
