He seems fine. Active, eating, drinking and pooping. I think that even with no perceptible drafts the area somehow caused temps to fluctuate. They are much higher mid to high 80s now. He has also been shedding for the past week or so.
Sorry for taking so long to post the pictures of my set up. I decided to move CJ's cage away from the window. I am hoping his new spot will be better. The only problem with the new spot is there is more light so I will have to figure out a way to cover his cage when his lights go out.
No the mister only goes off during the day. I have a tropic blaze with the 6% arcadia bulbs from light your reptiles. I am off Monday and Tuesday so will put up some pictures then.
There are a couple of members on the forum who have some for sale. I would put some tape on the edge of that lid so your chameleon won't hurt himself on the rough edges. The other suggestion I have is to maybe wrap the whole thing with some type of duct tape, contact paper or similar thing...
Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon – A panther; about a year or so old. I have had him since June 2015 or there abouts
Handling – rarely; recently daily to give med but try not to take him out of the cage.
Feeding - What are you feeding your cham? Right now he is on a cricket kick again. Refuses...
I did tell him it would be funny if I wasn't so peeved about it!!!! Oh well, live and learn. My son had no sympathy, told me I should not have had them where they would be accessible!
Did you put them in a larger container? Crickets need a fairly big container so it may have been too many in too small a space. If all you feed them are grapes that is not a very good diet. They need a good dry gutload in addition to fruits, veggies and water. I am using a commercial gut load...
So I carefully cared for about 30 hornworms, let them pupate and hatch into wonderful moths, who had crazy moth sex and laid hundreds of eggs. I collected them, watched them and they successfully hatched. I had a couple dozen babies eating and growing on some chow. Well my dog decided that...
I generally do not dust any of the worms I feed. Most of them (silks, horns and phoenix) have a fair amount of calcium as do butters. The remaining feeders are not the best nutritionally. Of the mealworms, supers and wax worms, waxes are better than the other two which are the nutritional...
This is correct. All spiders have venom. The vast majority do not have enough venom to hurt a larger animal. When you think about what most spiders eat they do not need a lot of venom to immobilize their prey. There are exceptions of course. I imagine that chameleons could eat spiders that...
Maybe it was not mating but fighting. Chameleons should not be kept with other chameleons. I would separate them as soon as possible. Just seeing another chameleon across the room is enough to stress the lizards out.

fill out as much as you can and if possible include some good clear pictures of the problem areas/extremities.
I only got about 50 or so from my last batch of worms so I just have them out to hatch. I did not put them in the fridge at all. I suspect that it is too dry but I cannot figure out how to increase the humidity without risking mold or rot.
They stay pretty still when they first emerge from the cocoons. They need time to let their wings fill out. They also do nothing during the day but as it gets near dusk they will become active. As I was leaving for work tonight a female was hovering around the hummingbird feeder and laying egg...
I checked my eggs that I collected into a Rubbermaid container and there are babies!!!! I had to quickly throw together some chow for them as I was on my way out the door to go to work! I put my pupa in some potting soil in a container with a lid. I left the lid off by about an inch so the...
I was so happy he liked dubias! I have a giant colony of these critters. I hate crix, they stink! I am not bothered by their chirping just hate the smell. He is going to get stuffed with them though. I just ordered 250 from Ghanns!
