I bought some of that when I first started my cricket keeping. They ate it, well most of it; I think there were a lot of stems. Once I got my cricket crack I just dumped the Flukers in with my roach colony.
Aye my male Sambava been getting picky lately, really picky. First he didn't want anything to do with the dubia colony I set up for him back when I got him over a year back. Last month he swore off crickets and this week he hates silkworms (which were always his favorite) and hornworms but...
I saw those MSDS sheets too, but I ended up using it on my nozzle anyways. Although, when I ordered them I bought a few extra just in case so I switch mine out for a freshie. Soaked the dirty one in CLR over night then gave it a really really good flush the next day, let it air dry and put it...
Same with me, I didnt at first until I noticed that the water was rising above the sand line hehe, a couple of holes fixed it and keeps enough moisture in to not cave in.
Ouchie, happens to just about all of us at one point I would guess. My Samson used to crawl out of his free range, I would always find him in back by my computer wires trying to climb up to my monitor. I think in the AM youll want to check the sunnier areas, perhaps he will move to bask if...
Recently I ran out of Cricket Crack and was looking for some more online, after seeing the prices I figured I could make way more for myself at a cheaper rate so here is what I did.
I went to the local natural food store and bought a few things. Spirulina, flax seed, bee pollen, organic raw...
Freezing is a double edged sword. If you had blended all those items up and froze them they do lose nutritional value however you run the risk of spoilage keeping the cold.
Is that the one who was sired by Patron? I do believe we have bro chams, but I also believe we went over that already :P My guy is so damn chill he won't fire up for anything. Maybe I should get a guinea pig, perhaps hated for them runs in the family.
I like to use the site sponsors myself.
I also found some Butterworms and phoenix worms at my local Fleet Farm in the fishing bait section. Kinda nice to have some supplies locally.
Another thing to thing on is that Silkies have no immune system so maintaining a sterile habitat for them is vital. Which I really suck at, so I just buy the self contained habitat cups and it works well for me for the most part, I still lose some but have a better success rate than buying in...
I try to stay away from Wax and Meal worms. The closest I go is Superworms and those are my treats.
Silkies and hornworms are the top of the worm feeder chains in my eyes. I like to use Butterworms, just got some nice fat jumbos from Mulberry Farms that none of my chams seem to enjoy. :P...
Hey everybody.
I recently added a bearded dragon to my collection and the little guy is demolishing my current dubia stash! I want to buy some more before it becomes a problem. If anyone has some dubia nymphs to sell off, shoot me a PM. Maybe we can do some business.
My cham did the same thing as well. He would close one eye towards the bulb as he would bask. His turret was facing directly towards the light, so I watched him for the next week. Nothing changed, so I just reasoned that it was more energy efficient to close an eye then to keep it moving. I...
Well I was going to post a few pics but I have seemed to have lost my phone usb link cable thingy.
On a positive note, today she was low low low in her cage and I saw her showing interest in the laying bin, she been skirting around the top lid of it so I am feeling more relieved and hopeful...
Yeah I been reading and worrying about that very fact. I have her cage covered with a beach towel that covers just about everything from her. She is kept in my room which I am rarely in as of late as I don't want to disturb her. I am really careful because she hates me so much I totally can...
So it sounds like she should be getting rid of them very very shortly. She hasn't shown much interest in her laying bins as I mentioned earlier, if by chance she doesn't lay them and I have to have a vet intervention, what sort of signs should I be aware of?
Hmm thanks for the clarification.
So how long can she remain receptive before becoming gravid? I have read that the egg cycle is around 45 days but have been unable to find much more specifics.
Lately she has shown a little bit darker coloration from the thread (past 10 days or so)...
