    Crazy Chameleon Lady

Ok so apparently I am now known to the various kids on the block as the chameleon lady. There was a rare day of sun yesterday and so I hauled all of the cham cages in front of my wall of window. Floor to ceiling window covers the wall facing the backyard. So I get off early and come home...

Hi everyone, I know many of you run the mist king mister, and having had to schedule cham-sitters on a pretty regular basis for the last month I have decided to invest in one. Here's the thing. I need to run 5 cages off of this.I am planning on buying the starter package, but what else do...

    Dubia roaches

As long as they are small enough for him (no bigger then the space between his eyes) they should be fine. I feed mine out of an old sherbert cup. They don't tend to climb really well, but they can get out if they are determined. I've never heard of them attacking a cham, and mine love to hunt...

    Panther Sexing by dewlap?

Ok, I will stick with the tried and true method. You know this would be much easier if they just came in a little pink or blue shell. :p Thanks guys, I'll go back to practicing some more. sharl

    Panther Sexing by dewlap?

Hey all, I remember reading something in one of the sexing posts about being able to sex a panther by it's dewlap coloration? I did a few searches but have not come up with anything on this subject. So since I know that sexing via the hemipenal bulge can be dicey at times how does...

    Arcadia Lighting - convince me

So I just ordered my double bulb, and just a quick question. Does the day bulb give the plants the needed light, or should I keep using my plant light? I have the T5 and day buld coming, but I currently use a LED grow light for my plants. Just curious if I can retire the plant lighting...

is the reptibator worth buying for panther eggs

Honestly I think many of us just use the closet method for our eggs. Hopefully someone who has used an incubator will be able to answer you in detail. Sharl

    Attack my little minions. ATTACK!

Ok so I have a rather persistent infestation of what we call grease ants. (little black ants.) So this is my rant about how I am seriously considering letting the 26 little voracious eating hatchlings free range near where they are coming in at. Bet it wouldn't take three days before nary and...

    How friendly is YOUR chameleon?

My female panther has reverse PMS. Once a month she rushes up to you like a puppy. Friendly hangs out, and even chases you hand around to bump her head against it for eye ridge rubs. I'm pretty sure you can guess what she is like the rest of the month. Problem is she seems to take delight in...

    Fluker's orange cubes

I had some, had a huge die off problem all of the time. Got to the point where I did feed them but threw in anything ( Not protien) that we didn't eat with dinner to supplement. Afterwards I switched to bug burger with cricket Crack, and still use the crickets as a garbage disposal, and my...

    She's in laying tank...what now?

Breathe! Trust me the hardest part of all this is the waiting, because we can (and do) drive ourselves batty with what if's?... My little girl is the biggest pain in the kiester when it comes to laying. Her first set of eggs I couldn't even walk by her cage without her hissing and running...

    fruit fly cultures for neonates

Bean beetles? Ok what is a bean beetle? I have a thriving Dubia horde going, and a trick to sifting out the fresh hatched, I also have silkworms ready to go. However I didn't consider mealworms. Thus far, I am really planning on ordering quiet a bit, but I am lucky in the fact that there is a...

    fruit fly cultures for neonates

Ok So with eggs in box, I am thinking about future feedings. My eggs are about 3 months along, and my question is thus: at what point in time should I buy the cultures to have a thriving fruit fly buffet ready to go? Some web sites say buy and get them started 5 months before hand, but that...
