...maybe you'll get some idea's on where to look. Someone found there's up a really really tall tree.
If he's just sitting an relaxing he could be soaking up some UVB rays in peace. My little guy does it, I've had him for 4+ months. He just sits there watching everything around him right under his light. But like Syn said, if his eye's are closed and he's napping that could be a big issue.
Last night I was watching Discovery Channels "Planet Earth" and some jungle elephants in the Congo eat mud as part of there diet for all the same reason as listed before by kinyonga.
Yeah, I ended up getting like 40+ females, even the nymphs are females! Hopefully someone's pregnant and will have a male or two. lol
My cham tried one last time, just as a "treat" after he finished up our cricket supply. He has a separate bowl for non-dusted treats, he knows there's always...
I got my Dubia's in the mail today myself...only problem is! I was kinda crossing my fingers that the website I went through would kinda forget about the whole "dubia roaches are illegal in Florida" thing and through a couple of males in there...
BUT NO! :( (The worst part is my cham seems to...
I actually found a supplier of Dubia's online that kinda may of shipped to Florida ;)
My question is, yes they are easy to breed, but do they grow fast?
Reading what your father says reminds me of what mine says.
"Only rich people can afford cheap things"
If I save up a little I can afford a promist. :D
Thank you for the imput, greatly appreciated!
I'm looking for a mister on the inexpensive side. My boyfriend and I are both gone most of the day for work. So that means, the first spray in the morning has to be it til about 4 pm when my boyfriend gets home. Even though my cham has a dripper going and it's being caught at the bottom of the...
NOT FAIR! I tried that same trick with some Kale and a superworm and it was a no go! My little veiled aims to perfectly he hit the super right on top the head and didn't even touch the Kale.
If that's the case, my Veiled must love crix dusted in multi-vit, it's the only time I'll see him licking his lips before he even aims at them. :D
Mmmmm large crunchy crickets with powder on them.
My male did that as well last time he started shedding (he's still shedding his casque) All he did was walk around go back and bask, walk around, bask, walk around, scratch himself on a plant, walk around. This went on for days, he also had the really dark colors in the process, I think he was...
What is a good alternative for crickets in Florida, where we can't get roaches? I already do the supers, and the occasional hornworms. But I'm looking for a new, not so smelly and loud, staple.
I've had that happen, how I hand feed them to my vieled, I always felt bad when they wouldn't let go. They can't grip as well on a finger and fly right off! :)
Funny enough that just happened to me with my vieled. He got onto the top of our curtain rod and then to our surround sound speaker. If you give him a way down he will go. I used a little bribery myself and gave him some crix and superworms. I showed them to him and he followed where I put them.
I agree with Panthercham, try getting yourself a reloadable card or something. Or possibly you have another petstore alternative? I finally gave up with the horrible crix at Petsmart and found another local petstore with better prices and quality. I can get 1000 crix for like $20 now.
