This is a blog by Dr. Ivan Alfonso on coccidia and nematode parasites. He includes a few microscopic slides so you can see what these nasty little things look like.

I am currently in a very similar situation with my 2 1/2 month old babies. Down to 8, from 17. Fine one minute, dead the next. I have gone over every detail of everything to see where the issue may be, can't find anything. I have talked with Chris Anderson as well and we can't determine the...
Thank you all very much, I appreciate the kind words. He was indeed a special little guy. He had a terrible beginning to his life, I just hope I made the remainder, better. It's not like I don't have a house full of chams, but I sure will miss saying 'good morning little man' to Jack each day.
It's with a heavy heart that I let everyone know that dear Jack passed today. I know several of you had followed his story. For those not familiar with Jack, he was a rescue veiled with severe MBD. Here is a link to some photos and a couple other threads showing his progression...
Tiff, I am so sorry to hear that poor Tommy is not improving! I know it is very difficult for both of you. I completely agree with kinyonga. That is how I modified the cage for sweet Jack (veiled with very bad MBD Dr. Alfonso sent me) and he does very well in that. Since he is so crippled, I...
Cipro is a very good antibiotic, though I have not used it to treat any of my chams. Enrofloxacin is Baytril, which is widely used in treating chameleons for various infections. Sometimes too widely used. The other, Trimethoprim-Sulfa, I also do not have experience with.
Fortaz needs to be injected, the absorption orally is poor and should not be given that way. Your vet will thoroughly go over the procedure with you on how to inject it properly. It may be difficult the first couple of times, but you will quickly figure out the easiest way to do it. Jessica's...

Ceftazidime (Fortaz) is an excellent antibiotic for treating RI. Metronidazole (Flagyl) is commonly used to treat parasites...
Be sure to tune it tomorrow (Friday) night at 9pm edt, to see Dr. Ivan Alfonso on Nat Geo Wild's 'Python Hunters'! Should be a fun show, they went to Puerto Rico to film. After hearing about this for months , I can't wait to see it...
I would get her an appt with a reptile vet preferably with experience in chameleons as soon as possible. There are several possibilities. She could not be quite ready yet, she may have gone past her time to lay due to a number of factors and may be eggbound or she might just need a little help...
I would get an appointment for him to be seen by a good reptile vet with experience in chameleons. Try to get a sample of the poop to take for a fecal also.
Unless you provide a proper laying bin fast, and give her total privacy while she attempts to lay, your female will not survive. She looks very thin in that first photo. I would suggest you read the blog in the link that has been provided to you and prepare an appropriate laying bin. Seperate...
