Thank you(: and yes she still very young I wanna say a month and a half or two old? I'm very bad at telling ages and I've only had her for almost a month now.
Like the others I don't recommend the substrate but whatever works for you. Also I own a few Jackson's and they aren't too grumpy. When young, YES. I think that they are one of the least sociable when young but I wouldn't know. But all my young ones hated me as I raised them but now they all...
My little one Athena absolutely HATES the camera, whenever I bring it near she'll get fired up and even hiss sometimes. This time she didn't notice I had the camera so i got a quick video of her eating. Only about 11 seconds but I was so excited I wanted to post it...
That's always a good idea. They're happiest when they have an easy way to get up and down in their cage especially if they're an active one that doesn't like to sit still like mine :)
This is amazing! you've taken such good care of him the whole way. I love how each picture you can tell he's maturing and getting more colors and more vibrant, but still has the same look in his eyes and the same personality. Beautiful :)
This can be true, but I tend to keep a dripper going throughout the day for all of my chams and i'd end up with pools of water. I drilled holes in the bottom of my cages and let the water drip down into 10 gallon containers I got them all at home depot. They both sit on wired shelves.
This is normal. Some chameleons take longer to shed than others. My female takes about a week to completely shed. My male takes about 4 days. What can help to speed it up and cheer them up is to mist them more often, not just the plants. It helps the skin to come off easier and quicker. :)
I LOVE IT haha. They're both beautiful chams :)
I caught myself giggling he's just all like "aww yeah baby you like these colors..wait till you see this *leans slightly to the left* I got moves too!"
The poor thing!!! One thing I can't stand that makes me furious is when people go out and catch jacksons (I live in Hawaii, they're EVERYWHERE) and keep them in a tiny cage with no lighting and no supply of water what so ever and expect it to live like its a hardy elephant. They're fragile souls...
He looks well :). Just focus on hydration and what and when you feed him and he'll do great! Along with lighting of course but i'm sure you've got it all under control! Enjoy :)
