Most people that are breeding want to get the high end to start a breeding project. That way if you can improve the captured born population, not pollute it with low quality sick chameleons. Save your money and buy a good, health chameleon to breed.
It's the season for threesomes! lol I went out today and three garter snakes were twisted up on my fire wood stack. I tried getting a picture but just had my phone camera with me, and one could see one of them.
Thanks. Is the glass okay for them? I hope because I don't have anywhere else to put them. They love the plants and are very neat to watch. On the link it says to put leaves, should I put leaves or just small things of sand? I might have 4 males...I think they are all younger.
Yesterday while I was at Petco looking for feeders, I watched a kid cleaning the anoles cage. He was being so mean to them. I know they're jumpy but he was grabbing them and slamming them in a bin. He was even shutting their tails in the lid. So I walked over and told him to be more careful. He...
She is a very cute kitten. I have too long haired persians. If you don't like dealing with a litter box. Get the cat genie. It's kinda expensive so I was really sceptical. But I ordered it now I haven't had to scoop poo in 6 months, and I'm in love with my kitties again.lol. But I feed Iams...
That enclosure looks awesome! I also love that tree. I will have to keep my eyes open for one of those. I keep buying plants for the chameleons then changing them out. My whole house is starting to look like a rainforest.
Kermit is in his plant today;) Yesterday morning I started think that the plant in his normal enclosure was a pothos and he held onto it until he was so sick that he didn't have a grip. The plant I had in the bird cage with him was a dracena, and much harder for him to hold onto. I knew I...
Thanks. I'm going to try to get one by the end of the month. My plan was to get one next month. I appreciate the sale on them. Thanks for being a great sponsor.
He is starting to look really skinny! I'm not really sure if I should force feed him more, or just hope that he improves enough to eat on his own again.
Well yesterday I had to force feed Kermit again. He has never been one to eat in front of me. Today he is moving around again pretty good. So I tried ripping the legs off some more cricket. They can still move around but not jump. Here is a picture of Kermit holding on to the plant after I...
All of my chams seem to hate my electronics. They can be the prettiest colors and if I get the camera, cell, or ipod out to take a pic. They change colors to puff up. I have four chams and they all hate pictures.
Beaker seems like he is completely fine now. I will continue to put the liquid calcium on the crickets til he goes back to the vet. Kermit is improving. His arms seem much stronger. I still have him in the small cage with the towel. But I can put him on a branch and he can hold on for awhile...
After all of this trouble with my poor veiled chameleon. I don't think it's too much. I wish they were alittle more affordable. That way more people would buy them to check for sure.
I did not have a cover on the bulb. It is alum. screen. The squares are pretty small. The fixture doesn't have a reflector on it, but I will do search and for the thread. Thanks everyone.
