Mine have always walked all around the cage like thay are looking for something and when they stop eating its usually time to lay their eggs!! Thats when I put them in their laying bin and they start digging their hole!!

Actually I put the 5 gal. bucket outside the cage. She wouldnt go in the one in the cage. This went on for a couple days and I had to put her in it with a lid so she couldnt get out, of course with holes in the lid. And I mean within minutes she was digging like crazy, like thanks its about time!!!
