okay, so I purchased 500 silkworms eggs from Mulberry Farm and am in the process of hatching them. My question is do i have the proper setup to hatch the eggs?
They are in the petri dish they came in, inside a box sealed with some air holes. In the box i put a wet sponge for humidity...
You need to feed them food made from mulberry leaves. If you plan to keep feeding your guy worms the best way is to raise them from eggs, which are cheaper than buying hatched ones. Since your guy is still small, feed the worms twice or three times a week to slow growth.
i think hes on a hunger strike since all he's eaten is crickets. his cage temps and humidity are fine and he is drinking. if hes on a hunger strike will he not eat regularly until he eats something else?
he is about nine months old now. i plan to get eggs of silkies as they are cheaper but they wont be ready for feeding til about two weeks...will my cham eat the crix so he wont starve himself?
