this seems like a brilliant idea!! anybody know if i could use this multiple times per week? if i were to get a colony going in a tank, what would i feed them?
I haven't decided yet. The right side has some fairly big scratches on it, which is completely visible and open to the room... I think I want to leave it as is for now and if it bothers me, I'll repaint it. Its just a metal frame, so even if I want to redo it in the future, it should only take a...
okay, so here it is. I picked up this anon goggles display case for only $150!! The front door has a bit of a crack in the bottom corner so I will probably need to replace that piece, but still. I think I did pretty well here.
11 month old panther (faly). he started off a little timid, but adventurous. now he's full on explorer, always running to check out anything new i bring home (which is my line of work is just about every 2 days) and he's the friendliest little thing i've ever seen. he sits and watches me all...
mine goes there on his own. about 3/4 of the time when he's free ranging, he's climbing all over my guitars and amps. the other 1/4 of the time he's walking around me on the couch/sitting in my lap (or on my head)
So after having a few threads and a deal turned sour with a custom cage builder, I have finally found something I can use as a base to build my own custom cage! If all goes according to plan, I will be picking up a display case from a sports shop tomorrow night for under $150. The overall...
i've got a nosy faly. he's quite blue (with some greens, a white stripe, a white underbelly and of course, that trademark red rain). recently mine has even started developing some yellow/orange colours on his chin. he's really a gorgeous chameleon :)
i have a lot of respect for somebody that knows when to not purchase an animal.
anyway, i have not had any experience with them, but if it were up to me, i would go with an animal you can physically see in person before you purchase just so you can ensure the health by actually looking at it...
i let him run around quite a bit. he's usually out running around for a minimum of an hour a day (most days are closer to 3 hours total). he's very friendly and loves to be outside hanging out and exploring.
i'm thinking i'm going to try getting one of the custom cages, still getting 36 long...
to everybody suggesting screen, i simply cant do it. please just help me chose which of the three glass options you would go with.
i dont want to get into the full explaination, but i'm in a basement apartment, so moisture and temperatures are a huge issue. i simply cant provide what he would...
my panther is my first reptile that i've owned. i've had him since late august and this forum really helps. as long as you do your research you'll be fine. i've been getting some praise about how good my guy looks from friends and forum members alike.
they're not difficult once you learn what...
the second one looks like its wearing a mask! reminds me a little of the old batman (adam west) style of mask with the eyes and forehead covered, but nothing else haha :)
As some of you might know, I'm looking for a pretty large glass cage for my panther. After contacting just about everybody imaginable, I have found only 3 possible solutions to my problem.
1. The cheapest and easiest solution is the exo terra 36x18x36. I have found the cheapest quote for this...
if you aren't using real plants, try that. they hold humidity much better. also, i have a towel at the bottom of mine that seems to help as well (it holds the moisture after misting) and i switch it out every night before lights out
i've never thought of display cases. thank you! i'll be sure to look into that.
as for the exo terra, i was aware of those from the beginning. they're just incredibly expensive for what you get (lowest quote i got so far was $359) and a tiny bit smaller than what i was hoping for. its my last...
i understand that building it is fairly simple. i have quite a bit of experience in furniture building, and building my own cage was actually always the idea. but things have changed a little. building it is probably out of the question at this point just because of time constraints that i have...
I've stumbled upon exactly what I'm looking for. However, I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to find it... This is the cage I'm after. Its Penn Plax, but I can't seem to find any Canadian dealers. Please, does anybody know of a retailer...
I think I've found my only two options at this point. The first is to go with the exo terra 36x18x36. I know its a touch small for a panther, but its got the width I'm looking for and I can get it locally.
The other option is CornelsWorld. I found him online. He seems to be a custom reptile...
