Do you warm your reservoir for your misting system?

The only problem with that is that a temp gun may not be able to read the water correctly. I may do some test and catch the water and test it. I still don't think the temp gun could read it, but read the cup being warmed by the water.

    Why chameleons make good pets

While that seems like the booyah, take this action now I assure you it probably isn't the best thing to do. To speak from his side, more or less, it's his house not yours. I didn't get animals till I moved away for college, my step dad didn't allow snakes and I didn't have a reliable job. I...

Do you warm your reservoir for your misting system?

My only problem with this, and this goes for all the animals in my care (which is 6 ball pythons, 5 leopard geckos, 1 AFT, and 1 3 toed box turtle), is that they are NOT wild smart animals. They are captive bred, captive born, captive raised and have never once spent a day in the wild. To me...

Do you warm your reservoir for your misting system?

That's what I thought too, but I figured I would fry a heat pad before I got it warm enough. I'm going out for some T valves and extra nozzles today, so I'll have to pick one up. B)

Do you warm your reservoir for your misting system?

For me, my reservoir seems to be a bit cool. I was wondering if anyone heats theirs? I was thinking maybe just pop an aquarium heater in there, tune it to low 80's and have a warm mist that comes out. Any thoughts?

    Question on misters?

I've read that you can use some plastic the cover three of the six sides to help humidity but not restrict air circulation. This may be a good option for you to think about.

Here he is! Pothos is on its way, but everything that came with him seems to be in order. All I lack is a mist system and the pothos. :)

Do you just leave the pot in the bottom and string everything up to the top?

Yeah, now that you point it out, hibiscus seems terribly difficult. Pothos does seem to be the all around go to for cages. Anyone who decorates with Pothos, can you post pictures of how you do so?

Thanks for the replies! I've got all the supplements, my geckos take the same. I'll be investing in more "furniture" once I see what size I'm working with. I've decided on hibiscus but again the cage size is unknown till Friday. I've been researching dwarf hibiscus so I can have a hibiscus in...

    Trading for a Senegal.

I did a little looking and have narrowed me mist choices down to just the mistking or an AquaZamp rain dome. Does any one have a preference? Are all ivy species acceptable or is just the devils ivy appropriate? I would like a hibiscus really, but I'm not sure how big his cage is yet.

Oooh. I guess I didn't catch the fact that the uvb was compact. We use tubes for the three toed box turtle we keep, so I've got extra fixtures for the tubes. As for the mistking, is there a good place you recommend to get it? Or, is there another version/type out there as well? As for the...

    Trading for a Senegal.

So I'm trading a snake I really wasn't too thrilled about acquiring in a trade for a late Christmas present for my wife! A year+ Senegal. In the trade, here's what I'm getting... ZooMed ReptiBreeze, it comes with a four month old 26 watt uvb bulb and an unused one, a reflector dome with a...
