I'm still trying to understand all the ins and out rather than getting a chameleon first.
HOW can you mist effectively with a four sided mesh enclosure without ruining the walls behind. Are there enclosures that are three sided mesh cages with a back of some water resistant element to deflect...
I live in Maryland and get mine overnighted from Flukers. It's the shipping that's expensive but the crickets are ALWAYS here the next day, and always ALL alive.

I've gotta wait a couple of months and convince my husband... Once I get a bee in my bonnet as we old folks say, it's hard to live with me, so a phonecall initiated by you or me, would be way too much enticement. I'm a teacher, so I'm off in the summer and can get away with more...Tee Hee
Thanks for the confidence builder about FLChams. You folks on here surely are kind. I appreciate it very much!

Proud owner of 2 rescued pugs, one elderly keeshond, my beardie, a Whites Tree frog, and Ruby, my baby red-eye. Jem, my 10 year old Red-eye passed away a week ago.
Hi Chad,
I have so many pets now that my husband is a bit reticent about getting another one, so though I shall get one (!) it may not be for a few months. I REALLY appreciate your giving me your # and I will keep it, if I may, but I'm afraid if I call, I'll want one TOMORROW...
Hello,
Me again. My husband and I went to see a baby veiled, and a male and female Jackson's yesterday. The baby looked SO FRAGILE I would have been afraid I'd kill it, no matter what I did. It was probably about 5 weeks old. The Jackson's were older, hardier. The female was shedding, and the...
Thank you so much for you kind replies! Now I have a much better idea of what I need!! My husband and I are going to a large store this afternoon in Reisterstown, MD called The Aquarium Center that has live lizards, fish, etc, as well as any piece of equipment you could ever dream of for set-up...
EXACTLY what to buy with regard to a veiled chameleon set up? I've read and read, and I get more confused every minute. There are so many options. I don't want to have to recreate the wheel spending more and more money. I want to do what works the first time, understanding that as the baby I...
Congratulations, Brad! I cannot think of many things more exciting (I'm 55) than unpacking a new friend!! I would be beside myself with glee!

Hi Brad,
I live in Maryland. I am concerned about the dripper/mister details, and also the heat/lighting on a screened enclosure. All of my current enclosures are glass tanks. A week ago I lost my 10 year old Red-Eyed Tree Frog. I consider that I had extraordinary success in keeping her for...
Thank you all for your considered advice. I will definitely read a lot before any purchase, have already read some. There are many different ideas on set up. I don't want to waste money on the wrong set up components. If I go with a veiled, what are the necessary elements from day one? I know I...
Hi,
I'm Jem, and I'm new to the forum. I have three dogs, a Whites Tree Frog, A Red-Eyed tree frog, and a two year old bearded dragon. I desperately want a chameleon, but I want to do everything right the first time! Dylan Dutz recommends a veiled, but I understand they can be a bit nasty. I...
