Thanks for the replies! I do appreciate the time taken. He did see a vet today. I wasn't allowed in the office due to covid. The vet thinks it is an abscess. They used a needle to aspirate it. The vet said they got puss and liquid from the lump. The lump defiantly decreased in size. They also...
Hello
I have a 1.5 year old Panther chameleon that has a bump on the skin. Curious what others thought it could be. Looks like a vet visit is coming and would love any suggestions(Tallahassee FL). Thanks for feedback.

If I was putting drains in an enclosure and with tubing that small I would make a catch basin inside the enclosure. That way nothing would be able to get into the tubing large enough to create a blockage. Simple example would be a plastic food container (with holes in it) that the tubing runs...

I'll check on the hood. This is the hood I have. Not at home but doesn't look like it has reflectors. It is a dual t5 with one 6% Arcadia and one 6500K bulb. How high should I place the basking lights off the screen? Inch or 2?
Thanks for confirming it

Hello all
I'm preparing 2 enclosures for a pair of panthers. They will be about 3 to 4 months old. I'm double checking my husbandry before I get them. Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks in advanced!
Your Chameleon - will be getting 2 Panthers. One male one female. Do not have them yet...
I've kept chameleons 10 years or so ago. Been seriously thinking about getting a pair of panthers for the last couple years. Almost done building the cages and have most of the supplies. Found this forum awhile ago and just been reading(listening) since. First post!
Thanks for all the info and...

Called ecosmart. I would be careful with it. Would never trust a product with direct contact with inside of the enclosure. Like I said seems to deter them for awhile. Should give you time to rid the problem.
Want to say never used it for your purpose. Please do research before use.
Where I live we have ants that people call sugar ants. If they are the same ants I would be careful. I've seen them swarming over dead insects such as big Dragon flies. Also they do not seem to be affected by bait the way most ants are. I have used sprays to deter them. There is a pet and kid...
10 years ago tried the free range thing with a female veiled. Well she didn't cooperate. Ended up finding her underneath a baby crib out of any direct light. Was a weird spot to find her. I would suggest looking in unlogical places as well. Plus at night he should stick out like a sore thumb...
