    He did a new thing today. He opened his mouth then started contorting his body side to side. Then in a gagging fashion, he stuck his tongue out like so. He has never done this inside his enclosure only outside.

    His eyes do appear to be sunken in a bit, although he has been drinking normally. Isn't that typically a sign of dehydration or could it mean something else? Thank you.

    What indicates that he doesn't look so good? Please note that he was stretched out to his max and his eyes are closed due to the misting at that time.

    This picture is from earlier today. I will take more in a moment and post them. There is no evidence to suggest he has broken any bones. I took him out of his cage yesterday while my wife cleaned his cage. He was walking fine in the lawn.

    All you need is a good drainage system. Substrate isn't necessary at all and, as previously mentioned, your Cham could eat it and that's no good.     Update: Gumby ate two crickets when I got home from work! I've upped his basking temp to 90 and am hopeful he'll bring doom to several more crickets tomorrow.

    Awesome! Thank you for the quick reply. His basking spot stays at a firm 85, so I'll up it to 90 and see if that helps.

    It's now day 3 of Gumby (9 mo old veiled) being in his new enclosure and he is still refusing to eat. Should I be concerned?

    Thank you for the reply. So you're saying it's a bacterial infection? How can I prevent this from occurring in the future, aside from continuing to maintain a clean, hygienic environment for him?
