Can I offer my young guy anything other then crickets yet? such as any kind of worm or do I need to wait for him to get larger?

You can go ahead and offer him small superworms and silkworms no problem. My little 2 and a half month old ambilobe loves superworms more then crickets.

mines the exact same age, try feeding him a spider as a treat, he will love you forever for it

Definitely super worms, or small silk worms are good treats, ours is now 4 months and loves superworms more than he likes crickets too. We are waiting to get some hornworms and trust me chameleons grow rather quick!! and love their treats,
