3rd time egg laying

I have injected feeders if I have a problematic animal that won’t let me administer medication orally, but that will just depend on if you feel comfortable with that. I’d personally probably skip the morning dose as that oxytocin will make her want to lay her eggs and you do not want to disturb her.

I kept my females in the 83-85 range to help prevent larger clutches. So I would stay in that range if I were you but if it was a little warmer it won’t hurt.
Okay great- I’ll skip it tomorrow morning and leave her alone. Would it also be safe to wait to check the temp until later tomorrow when I do a check in? Or should I not check the temp at all tomorrow, to try to not disturb her?

I just saw the first dose is tomorrow at noon. Hopefully she will have laid the eggs by then and I’d administer it then. If she hasn’t, then I’d highly suggest injecting feeders
Okay will do. She’s asleep now (it’s 8pm here), and her lights go on at 7am. Do you think that’s enough time if by noon I go in and check on her?

Yes. She might even lay them tonight. Sometimes when they’ve been given oxytocin it reacts very quickly. Sometimes not, it really just depends on the chameleon

I would keep her on her regular schedule....but remember, I'm not a vet and just telling you from what I've learned over all the years I've been keeping them.

When I had to give one of my ladies a med, I found it easiest to sit her on my bed and gently but firmly held my hand over her and gently grasped her casque with the same hand. She was furious but I was able to get her med in quickly and return her back to her home.

Do you think I could keep her lights off but leave a low light on in the room? That way the room isn’t completely black and if she needs to see she can?

She’s asleep now but in case she wakes up

Just bought some butter worms, going to inject the calcium in them and feed bingo. I’ll go and check on her today around noon, I haven’t checked on her yet but I think I heard her moving about the cage. Fingers crossed

Have you fed her butterworms before? Some chams have allergic reactions to them, so if this will be her first time, I’d go for hornworms or silkworms or roaches for the injections instead.
