Thanks for your comments.

Either one really. The indoor enclosure is just as simple, but time consuming building the screen panels by hand, but nothing complicated. I cut the mesh on the outside one into panels for each side, however one might be able to do just a wrap around then secure with zip ties to all upright poles. I practice the KISS ASS (Kept It Simple Stupid And Simply Secure) method, cause if it isn't I'll make a mess of things. :D

This size may be more appropriate for a smaller chameleon but would require different sized mesh. You could even flip it on end if you were looking for something taller than wide. You'd get a 26" 1/2 x 18" x 48". BTW the magnets hold the door in place while securing with velco cable ties and are not meant to be used as a sole method of securing (wouldn't want anyone to lose their cham);)

I have been thinking about connecting two full sized (My indoor size) together for outdoor. He is very active when outside and I think needs more room, more plants, more everything. Just need to build one with doors on two sides.:D

Good luck...I hope to see some pictures soon!!! :p

Time for an upgrade!

After a little while in his smaller outdoor gym, I decided he needed more room. So building the full sized enclosure was the next step. I had left over materials, (mesh, cable ties, and shelves),from his smaller outdoor gym so I whipped this up yesterday. :D I definately need more plants, especially a tree to fit in there. My Ficus is bearly 6" now, so I've got a long wait. :(

Anyone have tree recommendations?

:cool::cool::cool:

It looks great! Caesar's going to love it. Try Lowes or Home Depot for a large tree. Carol posted on here yesterday that she got a large hibiscus at BJ's for $12.99. My veileds love to munch on the hibiscus.

Wow! Talk about instant gratification! I'm always impatient while plants grow into the enclosure. I looked all day yesterday, couldn't find any thing that would fit or wasn't a bush. Maybe I ought to read up on bonsai techniques? :)

Sunny Days

Outside enclosure still needs some plants but he's happy to play out there in the mornings. Checkout the lastest video with never before seen video and stills. The newest video even has some shots of yours truly.:D

Quick update

Just a quick update to show off a few pics of Caesar. I got a hibiscus bush and a gardenia "tree" for Caesars' outdoor enclosure. He's been spending most of his time climbing on the bottom trying to get out so I put a barrier around the bottom third to see if he'll calm down a bit.

He's never happy when it's time to go home.

I'm loving his spots! His outside enclosure looks great. Could he be staying on the bottom because he's hot?

He has been doing some gaping at around 85 or 86 degrees. Does that seem a little cool to be overheating? I've been bringing him in when I see that type of activity.

Although I must report that covering the lower portion worked like a charm and he spent almost 5 hours outside. :)

Also...he really hates being misted outside. I do it with one of those pump sprayers you get at a hardware store. Of course, I do it from a place where he can't see the spray nozzle...otherwise he starts putting on a show of color that makes me nervous.

I read on here that some members keep theirs outside all the time but my guys can't handle the heat. I give them a few hours in the early mornings and another hour or so in the late evening. At around 85 they start opening their mouths and turn a lighter color so I bring them in before that point.

I don't know what you could do about the misting. My guys love it. Have one of those roll around auto rechargeable misters that you get at the Farm Supply store. It's powerful so I stand way back so they just get the mist from it.
