Baby Chameleon not eating really starting to worry.

Fiesty little devil! S/he looks good.

My babies are eating and pooping machines. That's the way babies are supposed to be.

Have you put any crickets in free range in the cage? My cages tend to have a lot of feeder bugs loose. Baby chameleons are not all that good at problem solving. I always make sure they can easily find food.

Did you try to catch some flies? Pinhead crickets are too small.

Yes I have, he never ate any. I am going to call this pet shop again up here today. I was just on there facebook they have a ton of baby reptiles in stock according to there Fbook, including Veilieds and Jacksons. But yet no baby food lol, maybe I should just go in there as the person that answers the phone always tell me they dont carry anything really.

So today I will try to find some FF, or something small, and put the cup up higher to his vine see if that helps.

I have not tried to catch wild, for 1 parasites for 2 its still winter here (kinda) I haven't seen any FF or any bugs actually yet.

Got the FF now how do I keep them in the cup lol. they are melongaster but that is all petco had he said :(.

Also got the mist system. Curious your idea of schedule. I got it set right now for 3 mins in the morning 8:30 (30mins after lights on), then at 11:30 for 4 mins, then at 2:30 for 5 mins, then at 530 for 4 mins. Sound good or too much?

The cage is 17.5x17.5x 35, there is 2 nozzles in the center (they are offset slightly, 3 inches apart front and back and 2 inches side to side). slightly pointed to the front and back. It SOAKS the cage in like a min lol, but I figured soak more good :).

Well update time. I put toys in at 4, caught him looking at them at about 4:10, checked again and 4:35, he was still near them but not directly over them. Just checked again and nothing. He didn't eat not a 1 afaict.

So at this point we can rule out "feeder size". He did run to the most today, so maybe a tad dehydrated I don't think as enough to not eat though? When I held a worm to the cup yesterday he came running. He didn't eat it but it was fairly large.

Idk, I am not an expert. However some long time members told me he is likely addicted to super/Meal worms. I read about this alot, can it not happen to babies? I should have supers tomorrow. If he will eat the supers and is addicted I will just feed him them I guess till old enough to week him off.

They may not be here till wedsnday. If it is dehydration the most system flooding his cage will hopefully help. Other than that I do not know what it could be. He did seem to be more active when his temps were 85, I was told not to let them get that high however. Even though he seems to prefer it.
