Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - panther chameleon, sex undetermined, and about 2.5 months old. I have had him for about three weeks
Handling - He still isn't used to people quite yet, I hand feed him almost everyday and he has walked on my hand a few times but inside the cage only.
Feeding - I feed him pheonix worms and crickets. The pheonix worms I put like 5 in a little cup in the cage and the crickets about 7. I gut-load the crickets with the green cricket food that the pet store gave me.
Supplements - I use zoo med calcium and reptivite I dust the crickets with
calcium with d3 and the reptivitamin, but I just bought calcium without d3 and will use that tomorrow.
Watering - I have a monsoon and I also mist the cage whenever I see it needs it. I have the monsoon on 30 minute intervals for 12 seconds. I have seen him drinking.
Fecal Description - They are hard, with a white color. He has never been tested for parasites.
History - The only thing I can think of is that he looks like he is shedding in between his back legs, he just started to have this two days ago. We could tell he wanted crickets that day and we bought some for him and he ate them immediately. We had dusted them with both the calcium and reptivite (both have d3). Yesterday, we did the same thing and he was fine in the morning, he ate all of the crickets. Sometime in the afternoon I found him sleeping and I knew that wasn't a good thing. I did some research and found out it could be signs of MBD, so I went and bought the calcium without d3. He still hasnt eaten the crickets we put in this morning, so I am very worried. He has slept all day today. He did however wake up when the mister came on and drank some water a few times.
Cage Info:
Cage Type - Screen cage 18" X 12" X 22"
Lighting - I use the lights for 12 hours everyday (6am-6pm). I have the zilla slimline desert fixture 5.0 tube, zoo med daylight blue reptile bulb 60 watt, and the exo terra daylight basking spot 50 watt
Temperature - The temperature in the day is between 80-90F. At night the lowest is about 75F. I have a digit thermometer that reads the temps.
Humidity - My humidity during the day is around 55 and at night it gets up to 65. I have a monsoon, I mist the cage, and I just bought a golden pothos. I have a zoo med humidity guage.
Plants - I have one live plant and it is a golden pothos.
Placement - I have the cage in the bathroom on a pedestal (about four feet off the ground), it is away from the air conditioning vent and we usually just have the windows open so it doesn't get too cold. The door is usually shut or half-way open so that not a lot of commotion goes on around him.
Location - Florida
Current Problem - He has been sleeping all day long, and not eating.
