Baby Melleri Madness!!

Quite right - we've all got to see our babies growing up

You've got a lot to answer for Joel !:LOL: You know what I mean ! :);) ( Will let you know of any developments here (y) )
 
No I'm not asking for myself. I have a friend that I was telling these about and she was interested. Not saying that $350 is a good or bad deal but my friend just won't go that high for this particular species. So that's why I'm asking.

Ooh- gorgeous little baby! Have you weighed one? What sort of weight would they be at that age.
My xanth weighed the same as 5 paperclips.
Guess they are off fruit flies and eating crix and house flies ?

Joel, thanks for the pic! They are looking great. I'm all in for the 350! :) For anyone complaining about that price don't realize the importance and leg up you have owning a CB! Enclosure getting set up and ready for my future female! ;) Keep up the good work and keep the pictures coming. Thanks!

Thanks Tabitha! I haven't been diligent about getting weights on them, but I will. They were on fruit flies for 1 day actually. I realized I would have to get ten cultures for one feeding. I started them off on false stable flies and pin heads. After about two weeks, they started eating houseflies and small crickets. It was great not having to mess with the melanogaster and hydei for long like most chameleon babies.

That's fantastic!! I am glad to hear that you have everything ready and thank you for the kind words!

Yeah, people don't really quite understand the upfront cost and what it generally takes to raise a brood of chameleon babies...much less a brood of melleri monster babies. Lol!!!

I grow them indoors in various enclosures. I admittedly have never used them in an enclosure with a veiled. I know they are non toxic when ingested and do not irritate the skin upon contact. But, that is tested on people and domesticated animals.

I would be inclined to think that there would be no problem using them in an enclosure with a chameleon that may have a taste of them. I use them in my enclosures with day geckos and sternfeldi. Maybe Andrew would have something to add about this plant. @Extensionofgreen .
