Bad News! Worst fears come true...

So I just got a call from the vet. He said Leon is in really bad kidney failure. So bad that he doesn't even think it's worth it to treat it... He said based on the numbers and how he looked yesterday he thinks the best thing is to just put him to sleep. I thought I was prepared for potentially bad news, but i guess not. I cried all the way home from work and am still crying. Its really hitting me hard. He was so great...

No matter how much you prepair for a situation like this it's still mighty difficult to cope with. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and Leon aswell. When one door closes a window opens. Leon is going to be in a better place, relaxing in that Big Ficus in the sky, where all the drippers have umbrellas in them and theres an endless supply of hornworms for all. You will see the sunshine again soon Becca, hang in there.

Condolences - I know how it feels to loose them, and how hard it is to make those final decisions. You're doing the best thing you can for him, and you can take some solace in that.
