Bernard chillin' after a long day in a USPS box

Hey all! I used to be a pretty regular member on here back a few years ago, not so much anymore. I am still very much so still into chameleons, and wanted to share some photos of our new guy that we named Bernard, AKA the Nardzard. He's an Ambanja, and I was told he was about 7 months old, but the sack I got him in had a hatch date of 8/2017 in, which if correct, would make him around 10 months. All I know is he's HUGE at either age, seeing as he's the biggest boy I've had yet. Or maybe I've always had wimps, lol. Anyone have some sort of age guess? Anyway, here's some photos of him I've taken in the last couple days. : )

It’s nice to see you back on the forums. Bernard is a gorgeous boy! Where did you get him? The breeder should be able to tell you the correct age.

He does look beautiful! With that amount of color, my guess would be closer to a year old, but I'm no expert, especially with Ambanjas. He is a big beautiful boy, and looks pretty sweet, too.

Hi Jann! Wow it's great to see that you're still on here. : ) I got him from Wild side Chameleons about 2 hours north of me. I originally wanted something local so I could just pick him up but my schedule didn't work out with the breeder's, so I had him shipped. And after I made this post I sent him a curiosity text asking about the age, and he is indeed 10 months old. He's about 130 grams but is real BEEFY so he looks a lot more to me.

Does the dragon statue bother him...I’m new and I thought that’d be cool too but was wondering if the chameleon would think it was some huge lizard. Ha ha!

I secretly wish he would fire up and try to battle this living room decor, but no, he just used it as a perch. The only thing he seems threatened by is the scary camera lens.
