Biting jungle vine

If the jungle vine gets wet my Panther bites it and get the black stuff in his mouth. I don't mist it anymore. It's still in cage getting different vines this week. Anyone have this problem? Curious

It's typical for panthers chameleons to chew the vines. Make sure whatever you use is not going to cause problems if ingested...or better still...that the chameleon can't bite pieces off of them.

It does come off. I plan on getting it out of there in the next day or so.. Not a good thing. It's the black jungle vine they sell everywhere.

I just unpackaged same one and my floor is Full of black flecks. Looks like im ditching this, shame because its great size for new larger cage. But yeah seems to be how they're made the stuff pulls right off

I had a few vines in my setup when i got my panther, loved to chew on it all the time. I got rid of them and got the exo-terra water proof vines. They shouldn't be able to get anything off of it but my panther has out grown the vine chewing habit as far as i know.

If I had a dime.... probably want to remove those styrofoam based vines from the cage.

Interesting, I've never had a problem with any of mine biting those vines. They seem to love them, 2 of my 3 sleep on them :D
