so here's a little story of blue (my veiled Cham) finally coming out of her shell!! today I needed to clean her cage so of course I wanted to remove her so I can clean the cage. I tried everything, sticks, bribing with horn worms, leaving the door open, offering my hand. eventually I gave up and was planning on giving her some space to cool off because she was getting upset. so I was just laying on my bed and her cage was closed and she walked right up to the front of the cage so I opened the door and put an orchid on the table because I know they like to climb and out she went!! scrambling all over the place like a crazy person. she climbed to the top of the orchid and I am so proud of her!! she has always been afraid of me and she's only been outside one time. (I got her a few weeks ago). I was able to clean her cage and I am so proud and happy she is becoming more ambitious and risk taking!

Aww it is very exciting when they finally venture out! My female veiled recently did the same thing and now, about 2 weeks later, I leave her door open and she moseys on out. Be prepared tho, once they do they hate going back in! Congrats tho, I feel your excitement! :):ROFLMAO:

thank you! I love my blue!

Chloe will do the same thing. Once they taste that sweet, sweet freedom the cage is just that. Chloe is currently asleep out of her cage but she's "hiding" behind my tv, not likely to move till morning so I'm leaving her for now.

My girl hasn't moved the past 5hrs at least. She's happy as a clam hangin on the tv cords behind my tv/tv stand. I've learned it takes a lot of nudging to wake her up, then she's mad that I'm moving her. I may be wrong here, others please give advice, but I think it's best to just leave them. She'll wake up tmrw morning, and I'll be up ready to watch her and see where she goes next. My weekends revolve around my Netflix binge and Chloe's free range now....lol!
